I have over 30 years of psychodynamically orientated clinical experience working with children, adolescents, families and adults in the UK, Israel and Turkey. Having worked and lived in various countries I have a great deal of inter- cultural experience.
Since 1990 I have been actively involved in many aspects of psychotherapy including:
- Running support groups for parents with special needs children and vulnerable adults;
- Conducting workshops at schools encouraging creative expression of children's internal worlds;
- Designing and implementing a therapeutic programme to assist child survivors of an earthquake;
- Conducting numerous professional seminars, workshops and serving on normal and abnormal child development and psychological interventions;
- Worked for 15 years at NHS in adults as well as CAMHS as a highly specialized clinical psychologist.
- Significant clinical experience with minority groups in every age and level of difficulty.
- Acted as clinical coordinator for the pilot implementation of Support Groups for Turkish speaking mothers at Enfield primary schools, acted as project manager for London Mocep (see below)
- I coordinated London Mother- Child- Education- Project (MOCEP) in Enfield/London between 2012- 2013.
- Teaching and supervising students in mental health field, clinical as well as research related practice.
In May 2020 as was appointed as editor for the British Psychoanalytic Association’s Bulletin.

I am a member of the International Psychoanalytice Association (IPA), British Psychoanalytic Association (BPA), Association of Child Psychotherapists (ACP), Bristish Psychological Society (BPS).
I teach at Birkbeck University, MSc - Psychodynamics of Human Development. I lead Mother-Infant Observation Seminars as well as supervise MSc students' dissertations.
